Analysis of the Working Mode of Embedded Scanning Module

The working mode of the embedded scanning module refers to the different operating mechanisms adopted during the decoding of barcodes, which directly affect the operational efficiency and application scope of the device. The current mainstream embedded scanning modules mainly include the following working modes:
Button start mode (manual mode): This mode is also known as manual trigger mode and is the most basic and common form of operation. The user needs to activate the scanning function through physical buttons. At this time, the module's lighting system is turned on, and the barcode can be recognized by aligning it. After completing a successful read, the lighting system will automatically shut down, and the next operation requires triggering the button again.
Continuous decoding mode: In this working state, the scanning module will continue to run and the recognition indicator light will be constantly on. When a barcode enters the reading range, the device will immediately complete decoding. Usually, the system will set an anti duplication mechanism, and the same barcode needs to undergo a specific time interval before it can be recognized again after being successfully read. This mode generally supports the adjustment of two key parameters: the reading interval duration for the same barcode and the recognition interval between different barcodes.
Intelligent sensing method: The scanning module using this mode can autonomously monitor and recognize image changes within the recognition area, and automatically complete barcode reading operations. After successfully uploading data, it will automatically enter standby mode, and when a new item is detected entering the sensing area, the scanning process will be restarted. By setting a reasonable parameter for the duration of a single recognition, the response speed of automatic sensing can be significantly improved.
Instruction control mode: This mode requires the upper computer system to send specific control instructions to the scanning device to initiate the reading process. This communication method is usually based on physical or virtual serial ports and is suitable for automation system integration that requires precise control. In practical application scenarios, the selection of different working methods needs to be considered based on specific requirements. For example, high-frequency work environments such as logistics sorting are suitable for using continuous decoding methods; Intelligent warehousing systems are more inclined to choose intelligent sensing methods; In tasks that require manual intervention, the button start method demonstrates better applicability.
